WAVE has had the honor of documenting the PNG National Game Fishing Titles for three consecutive years, capturing the excitement and competitive spirit of anglers from Madang in 2022, Lae in 2023, and now Port Moresby in 2024. Collaborating with the Madang, Lae, and Port Moresby Game Fishing Clubs, we have brought the thrill of this 9-day event to life through daily video highlights, produced and delivered within a 24-hour timeframe.

Each year presented its unique set of challenges, primarily revolving around the quick turnaround time required for daily highlight production. Our team adeptly navigated the demands of collecting content live, editing on the go, and ensuring prompt delivery. The task was to not only capture the essence of the tournament but to do so in a way that resonated with both participants and enthusiasts alike.

To address these challenges, we employed innovative solutions. Live content was shared online, captured by our dedicated film crew, and then skillfully woven into a narrative by our editors stationed at the fishing gantry. This approach allowed for the efficient compilation of footage, maintaining a steady flow of high-quality content throughout the tournament.

As we embark on the 2024 titles in Port Moresby, our goal remains unchanged: to deliver captivating 9-day highlights within a quick turnaround time. This includes a mix of action-packed footage collected online from anglers, engaging interviews, and other dynamic elements that define the tournament.
